Katie Demarest, benefit broker and consultant for The Freeman Agency, brings more than 10 years of professional experience in her field. Her background, combined with her passion for providing the highest quality of customer service ensures that Katie’s clients receive the best care possible.

Katie attended both University of Minnesota and University of Houston and chose the field of benefits consultant because she wishes to help educate, communicate and advise her clients of their options and solutions, as well as help them see that a company offering a proper benefits package can maintain and enhance their business strategies.

Prior to joining the team at The Freeman Agency, Katie maintained a professional background in HR, management and benefits administration. Her current clientele includes professional service firms, manufacturing and distribution companies, nonprofit organizations and companies within the oil and gas industries.

While Katie keeps her feet grounded within her community, her professional goals include giving back to the community while acting as a trusted advisor for business owners and their employees.

Outside of the office, Katie serves as a chairperson for the Professional Services Council of the Greater Houston Partnership; board member of Crisis Intervention Houston; and is an Emerging Women Business Leader member.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys networking with new people, traveling and playing hockey.

As a benefits consultant, Katie continues to provide services for benefits strategies, workforce planning, strategic recruitment and strategy sales.
